No shaving, that's all he can grow. What a naturally dapper chap.

Damn, it's been a long time since I last posted. Life is good. I'm still up in the bay of islands, life is ticking along, but I'm making preparations for coming back to the UK in the beginning of July. More on my sea kayaking adventure soon, but in the mean time some pictures.

 

That's Long Beach, one of a few beaches to choose from within ten minutes walk of Russell. Most of the time, it's protected by Cape Brett and the water's glassy smooth, but with enough wind from the right direction, there's a great long board wave. If you can see through walls in photographs, you would be able to see my sea boat at the very far end of the beach, not a bad place to launch your kayak.

 

 

Does this need a caption? For the navigation fanatics reading this blog (no one? no?), this was taken about half a kilometre north of Waitia Bay, which is the next bay round from Long Beach (Oneroa Bay) and only about half an hours' paddle from where I launch my kayak. For the fact fans, Waitia bay is also Russell's only nudist beach. I was just chuffed to go paddling with Dolphins, those guys are really cool.

 

Well, the laptop battery is running out, so now that I've made you all jealous of the sunny weather, let you know that I'm alive, and sort of updated you on my plans, I'm going to sign off.
